The common development concept for the OceanSprinter series is that the ease of catching fish and the inherent lifting power of the rod are the most important.

In order to catch such a large fish, we believe that "tenacity" and a "straightforward bend curve" are necessary. This is especially true in stormy or shallow areas with strong currents. Tested for casting yellowfin tuna in the Goto Islands, Nagasaki and northern Kyushu, and for luring yellowfin tuna off the coast of Mie Prefecture.
This model can handle everything from sardine patterns to dolphin fish patterns.

Compared to the 838/8110 and models, it puts less strain on the body, so it has a sharper feeling while still having some tenacity, so you can cast more easily through the wind even for long periods of time or against the wind. (up to 100g)
This model is also very useful for luring yellowfin tuna up to 40kg.

*Regarding the fighting position
We do not recommend using the gimbal belt in a low position.
This model does not require the use of a gimbal belt when the fight is decided in a short time of about 10 minutes using PE6. (Please use it when you need to fight for a long time, such as with tuna over 40 kg.)
When fighting, do not stand too upright, but maintain an angle that puts load on the butt part, and you can draw out the lift power of the blank.
Laying it down puts more strain on the body, but also increases the pressure on the fish. There are various factors such as the fight time and the size of the fish, so please respond according to the situation.
(There is a possibility that the fish will come off when fixing the rod end to the gimbal belt. Also, fixing the rod end may slow down the response to sudden movements of the fish.)

Two types with different power (No1 / No2 (No1 has been strengthened overall)) were produced from the first prototype, and actual fishing began.
Regarding the guide settings, with the cooperation of the people involved, we repeatedly cast various lures in the Tokara Islands, bluefin tuna in the Tsugaru Strait, overseas fields, etc., and after making only small changes, we were able to come up with a satisfactory setting
. The guide settings were designed to take advantage of both the PE10 and the large-diameter spool to reduce line thrashing, and the guide settings to make the most of the lift power.

Initially, we were using a concept of line compatible with 12, but after repeatedly fighting sharks and GTs with a live horse mackerel, we realized that the power balance of PE12 was a little light for both blanks.
However, the casting performance of various lures, the bending, strength, and lightness of the blank that continues to put pressure on the target with the least burden on the angler, and the overall balance, it was a model with the high level of completion that we were looking for.
After fighting with various fish, we were convinced that the PE10 tension is suitable for this 72 length and this tone.
We tested this 72 model with PE10.

During a fishing trip to Yonaguni in January 2020, we caught two marlin with No1 and one with No2.
Although there are some differences from fighting with bluefin tuna, it was an excellent test subject for checking the blank condition, such as the load on the angler and lift power. The thorough differences between No1 and No2 were also revealed.

Including these points, we have reaffirmed that No2 has a good balance in various ways with PE10, and have decided to proceed with it as a release model.

The WhiteInsight 7210 is a model that targets bluefin tuna and large yellowfin tuna, and the fighting time can last several hours. Moreover, it is a model that can handle PE10 high drag, so the angler needs to conserve his physical strength, and the fighting style is different from other models. The OceanSprinter 8110
, which is in the same PE class, feels like you are lowering your hips and lifting up by bending and stretching your legs without standing the rod too high. If you have strength and weight, you can use the lifting power of the rod with just your arms. The position of the waist belt where you insert the rod end is located just above the crotch. However, the fight time is limited to around 15 minutes. (This model is suitable for GT and yellowtail that will win in one go.)

On the other hand, the biggest advantage of the WhiteInsight7210 is that it reduces the consumption of arm strength, back strength, and grip strength by bending the rod upright and placing the fulcrum in front of you, and releasing the load on the rod to the rod end. When the rod is upright, the load is concentrated on the rod end, and the load is placed on the waist belt through the rod belt. For this reason, a rod belt that hangs from the waist belt (a Souls product was used during testing) is necessary. This leads
to a decrease in back strength and leg strength, so hold the rod lightly without lowering your waist more than necessary. If your grip strength decreases, you should hold the rod with your elbow, or remove the rod end from the belt and take a break with your armpits bent.
It's a long, fierce fight that you don't know when it will end, so it's best to approach it as if you were running a long distance. (This is a fighting style that is also suitable for WhiteInsight8010.)

Note: Although the rod is made of carbon material that is stronger than the OceanSprinter series in terms of breaking strength, the rod can still be damaged if handled incorrectly. Regarding the gimbal belt:
In the test, we used one made by Souls.
We also use TT BELT from MC Works. In that case, we change it to a hanging type from the waist in combination with SANSUI's original Super Urethane Back Saver Belt SW (waist belt).
In any case, please use a strong and reliable gimbal belt that is large enough to cover both legs.


The PE12 compatible model is being developed with a shorter length, and has already moved from Proto No. 1 to No. 2 (April 2021).
Actual fishing tests have been conducted since spring 2020. Released as WhiteInsight 61112 (2022).
