We are back from another amazing week in the Deep South of Sudan, we are honored to have with us this incredible group of nine anglers with whom we have fished some of the most pristine areas of the Red Sea. We had incredible weather during the whole trip with a north wind blowing and making the fish very active on the flat.

The seventh week started with amazing weather, not windy as usual so this time we were able to navigate quietly among the islands and reefs of North Sudan.

The exploration of Djibouti is a project that we carry on for a few years without a proper constancy because of our other commitment to our main destinations, but we do believe there is a high potential for fly fishing and to enjoy a unique fishery where challenge Napoleon Wrasse, GT, Triggerfish, and Queenfish.

During the 13 days between 6 and 20 March we had the pleasure to have on board of the motor sailing Elegante in the North itinerary our good friend Johan Person Frieberg, at his 4th visit in Sudan, and bunch of great guys and fly fisherman.

We finished another week at the Endless Flats Flats of Sudan, touring many km and several islands looking for giant triggerfish and of course for geets, the trip started with strong wind blowing but we managed these guys to put them in front of some aggressive triggers.

The week number 4 it’s done, we changed the remote atolls of the south for the endless flats of the Nubian desert, challenging week with strong wind blowing and the flat full of tricky triggers.

With this week we can end the season Deep South in Sudan, where we will go from fishing atolls in the middle of the Red Sea to endless costal flats. This week time has been taught, big swells and close to 30 knots of wind but we managed to find a good amount of fish on the flats giving the chance to have shots to every species.

The second week we have with us a hosted trip with Meredith McCord with a group of 5 experienced anglers ready to explore the Red Sea.

The first week of the season has been tough, both for weather and fish, even so we have had many opportunities and we landed a good number of fish, the high tide made more difficult to fish triggers but it helped us get a good number of GT’s and Bluefins (20 and 19). sight fishing on the flats even with cloudy weather we were able to spot some nice gt hunting close to the shore and with some crazy teasing sessions on the edge of the reef with many strikes from bohar snappers, barracudas, groupers and more species of coral fish making us enjoy.

We arrived to Sudan few days ago to prepare for our upcoming fishing season. Country is open, our first guests are arriving soon and we are hyped to start a new fishing adventures in this new 2021.
